Name of Operation: Building Blocks Nanny Shop LLC Facility ID: 60004380 Consultant: RASHEKA WHEELER Operation Type: Family CC Home Case Number: Visit Date: 5/1/2025 Number Present: 5 Completed Date: 5/1/2025 Age: From 0 To 3 Total Minutes: 115 Time In: 09:30 AM Time Out: 11:25 AM Time In: Time Out: List to Use: Family CC Home Type Of Visit: Temp Time Period Announced/Unannounced: Unannounced The purpose of today's unannounced temporary time period visit was to monitor compliance with the applicable childcare requirements for a Family Child Care Home. There were five (5r) children present; one (1) infant, one (1) toddler, one (1), two-year-old, and two (2) three-year-old children present and enrolled. The provider and I had a conversation about a drop-in care option for families. I stated that all families who desire care will need all the required paperwork to be on file. During the visit, I monitored the indoor and outdoor environment, fire drills, outdoor inspection documentation, and required posted items. The activity plan was completed and posted. Indoor Learning Environment: The environment had adequate materials and supplies for the age groups in care and enrolled at the program. The program has two separate spaces to care for the younger children in one space and preschool children in another space. The preschool age children participated in a large group reading and block play with the younger children during today’s visit. Outdoor Learning Environment: The back yard is not fenced in. There are multiple portable equipment that does not desire surfacing. Firearms: Your family child care home is in compliance with child care requirements regarding firearms. Transportation: Ms. Robinson is still desiring to participate in transportation. I reminded Ms. Robinson when she is ready, she will need to communicate with her assigned consultant to obtain approval, prior to use. Please review the transportation law/rules to make sure all necessary paperwork is on file and in the transportation binder. I discussed compliance history and the need to maintain at least 75% Compliance History for each 18-month period as required by G.S. 110-90(4) (c). Please note any violations cited during future visits will negatively impact your compliance history. Repeated violations or violations left unresolved may lead to administrative action. Rated License: You opted out of getting the FCCERS assessment completed. You chose to use your education only for points for your star level. Education- Ms. Robinson received her Early Childhood Credential on July 28, 2000. The provider will receive 3 points in education. Program-You will receive 2 points in the program because you submitted a 3-month self-study. The 3-month self-study identified the next steps and her interest in learning about the FCCERS rated license process. Quality Point-The provider stated she will serve no more than two infants under the age of one. 3 + 2 + 1 =6 points for a possible 2-star license. The rated license packet will be submitted to my licensing supervisor on 5/1/25. The following violations were cited during today’s visit.
