Applicable childcare requirements and the inspection was discussed with Owner, Ginger Goodman. Michael Goodman was also present and assisted with locating files. Currently this facility operates with a 1 star license effective January 1, 2008. During the visit I monitored the indoor and outdoor spaces used for child care. I observed children during routine activities. Children were observed playing outside during outdoor play with adequate supervision when I arrived. Age appropriate materials and equipment was accessible to all children. The facility was monitored for compliance using the annual compliance monitoring checklist. I also monitored, permit restrictions, posting requirements, training requirements, use of approved space, program records, and nutrition. 5 children's records were reviewed and staff records were reviewed and the verification form completed. The last fire drill was completed on 6/23/25. The last lockdown drill was completed 6/24/25. The operation's EPR plan was last updated 7/15/25. Outdoor inspections were observed to be completed monthly. This operation has completed enrollment in asbestos and lead paint testing. Sleep checks were observed to be completed for one enrolled child under 12 months old. There are no enrolled children on any medications at this time. Transportation is not provided by this facility. I observed 2 violations during this inspection. Violation Number Comment Rule 910 Copy of each child's health assessment, including the operator's own preschool child(ren), was not on file within 30 days of enrollment. A health assessment was not observed on file for one child present during inspection. GS 110-91(1); 10A NCAC 09.1721(a)(1) 1847 A child care operator did not notify the Division of any new child care providers, as defined in G.S. 110-90.2(a)(2), who were hired or moved into the child care facility within five business days. A current roster of household members was not able to be observed. G.S. 110-90.2 & .2703(r) The violations documented above must be corrected immediately. A signed and dated letter of compliance must be mailed by July 29, 2025 stating that all violations have been corrected.
