Your program currently operates with a three-star license, issued July 4, 2022, earning 4 points in the education component, 2 points in the program standards component and 1 quality point for restricting infant capacity to no more than two children under the age of one year old. The last annual compliance visit was conducted October 11, 2024. The center's compliance history was reviewed with the operator. The program’s compliance history was one hundred percent as of September 9, 2025. During today’s visit, I observed children in the indoor learning environments. Children were participating in general personal care routines and free play activities. The operator was seen walking around the room engaging with children during play. I found supervision, capacity, and interactions to be in compliance. The following were also inspected during today’s visit: program requirements, equipment, furnishings, staff/child ratios, supervision, medication, medication administration, outdoor learning environments, and program records including staff records and children records. The following was cited during today’s inspection. Violation Number Comment Rule 1847 A child care operator did not notify the Division of any new child care providers, as defined in G.S. 110-90.2(a)(2), who were hired or moved into the child care facility within five business days. The providers ABCMS provider portal roster is not up to date with all teachers and family members. G.S. 110-90.2 & .2703(r) Child Care programs are expected to always achieve and maintain compliance and are required by NC GS 110-90(4) (d) to achieve and maintain an eighteen-month compliance history score of at least seventy-five percent. Any violation(s) documented may impact the compliance history score. The violation(s) documented must be corrected immediately. On or before September 23, 2025, I must receive a written, dated, and signed compliance letter that describes accurately and in detail how and when the violations were corrected. Please be aware any information submitted by you is legal documentation. If it is determined the information provided in the letter is not true, this may be considered falsification of information. I have supplied you with a copy of their October Natural Learning at Home info sheet. This month’s activity incudes an activity called Leaf Rubbings and a recipe for pumpkin hummus. These are great activities that help incorporate the elements of fall in your program. We discussed the importance of renewing pet vaccinations within the required due date. One way to remember due dates could be setting a reminder on your calendar phone a month before the vaccination is due. Reminders: Hughie’s criminal background check is set to expire in December. Please submit a new application to renew his background check. You may submit the application by going to our division website and navigating to the “provider” tab and click on “Background Check”.
