R 400.8179 · R 400.8179 Program. (10) When media are used with children 2 years of age and older, all of the following apply: (c) Media with violent or adult content are prohibited while children are in care.

The complainant stated on 7/29/20, Child A (13-year-old, male) saw pornography on the iPads that belong to the center. She stated another child looked up the pornography and then gave the iPad to Child A, then another child told the staff that pornography was on the iPad. The complaint stated the center's owner Gary Williams called her and told her what had happened. She stated this only happened once and that Child A no longer attends the center. The owner Gary Williams, the director Susan Williams, and caregivers Julia Creamer and John Younan all stated they do have iPads for the children to use and that they have them under restrictions; however, during their talent show, they opened the restrictions up on some of the iPads so the children could look things up on YouTube and they forgot to put the parental controls back on. When they found out some of the children were watching pornography on the iPads, they collected them all and checked the parental controls. The parental controls had not been turned back on for four of the iPads. They all stated Gary Williams called the parents of the children involved and told them what had happened. They stated there have not been any issues since and that they always supervise what the children are doing on the iPads.
