When Child A & B's Mother buckled Child A in his car seat, she noticed his nose was red, but he had been screaming and crying and his nose was running so she did not think too much about it. They drove directly to the _ County Fair and did not make any other stops on the way. Child A fell asleep in the car. When they arrived at the fair, Child A & B's Mother got Child A 3 out of his car seat and noticed a bruise on his arm and a red spot on the crease of his nose. Child A & B's Mother denied any possibility that Child A could have gotten injured in the car on the way to the fair. She said Child A whined like he was fighting sleep, but he never cried. Child B was occupied talking to her grandmother, so she did not do anything to harm Child A. At 8:07 PM, Ms. Krieger replied and denied any knowledge that Child A had been injured while in care and asked, "Why?" Child A & B's Mother sent Ms. Krieger pictures of Child A's nose. Ms. Krieger told her that Child A had a bowel movement in his diaper shortly before Child A & B's Mother arrived that afternoon and his nose did not look like that when he was changed. Ms. Krieger also commented that Child A had been in Child A & B's Mother's care for an hour by the time she noticed the mark. While they were at the fair, Child A & B's Mother asked Child B how her day was and she said "okay, not good" but did not elaborate on her thoughts. About five minutes later, Child A & B's Father arrived at the fair and asked Child B how things went at Ms. Krieger's house, and she said "bad." Child A & B's Father asked Child B what she meant by "bad," and Child B said, "Ms. Sharee was mad." Child B said Ms. Krieger was mad at Child A. When asked why Ms. Krieger was mad at Child A, Child B said Ms. Krieger was mad at Child A during nap and threw him on the bed. Then Child B repeated the story and said Ms. Krieger threw Child A on the bed and his "head went boom. Then Child A cried." Child B demonstrated for her parents how Child B's "head went boom" by throwing her head backwards. Before they left the fair, they asked Child B if she wanted to go back to Ms. Krieger's home tomorrow and she said, "No." They asked her why she did not want to go back, and she repeated the same story again. Child A & B's Mother sent a text message to Ms. Krieger and told her that the children would not be coming the rest of the week. The next morning, Ms. Krieger replied with a text message stating that she would be more comfortable communicating with Child A & B's Father.
