On 03/30/2021, I interviewed Mrs. Chrissy Anderson-Borsa, program director/licensee designee by telephone. Mrs. Anderson-Borsa, stated on 03/29/2021, Child A and Child B created a on Child A's school tablet showing Child A dancing with pants pulled down. Mrs. Anderson-Borsa stated this information was broug t to her attention by Ms. Ashley Robinson, child care staff member on 03/30/2021. Mrs. Anderson-Borsa stated she and Ms. Sierra Maple, child care staff member was in the classroom when this incident occurred on 03/29/2021. There did not appear to be any inappropriate sexual content between Child A and Child B on the . Mrs. Anderson-Borsa stated Child A and Child B built a tent in the classroom and would play often in the tent. Mrs. Anderson-Borsa stated there has never been any concerns about Child A and Child B playing together. Mrs. Chrissy Anderson-Borsa stated she was completely shocked that Child A and Child B was able to create a like this in the classroom. Mrs. Anderson-Borsa stated she and Ms. Maple c ec ed on Child A and Child B but they were still able to make the without their knowledge. Mrs. Anderson-Borsa and Mrs. Maple were in the class moving around assisting and attending other children in the classroom. Mrs. Anderson- Borsa stated after realizing what had occurred, she immediately informed child care staff members that none of the children could build or play in a tent and children's school tablets would have to be monitored more closely to ensure that tablets are being used for school work. Mrs. Anderson-Borsa spoke with Child A's Mother and Child B's Mother. She expressed to both parents the steps she would be taking to address this matter in the classroom and with Child A and Child B along with the rest of the children in the classroom. Both parents stated they would also speakRwiWeir respectively to discuss the appropriate use of their school tablet. 3 I interviewed Ms. Maple by telephone on 03/30/2021. Ms. Maple stated she was unaware that Child A and Child B had created a in the tent. Ms. Maple stated normally the will periodically watch a YouTu e video. She stated on 03/29/2021, s e would peek into the tent and see what Child A and Child B were doing. She did not observe them doing anything inappropriate at the times she observed them in the tent. Ms. Maple stated Child A would also "pop" IF head out of the tent to reassure staff she and Child B were fine. Ms. Maple state it was not until 03/30/2021 when she was told by Mrs. Anderson-Borsa that Child A and Child W B had made a she was very surprised, especially that Child B had participated as is on the quieter side. Ms. Maple stated neither Child A nor Child B has any be avior issues; but there are times she will have to redirect Child A as ■ does not listen when instructions are given for a task. She has not had any previous concerns about Child A and Child B playing together. Ms. Maple stated she knows they will no longer allow any of the children to use the tent and monitor the use of their tablets more closely. On 03/30/2021, I interviewed Child A's Mother by telephone. Child A's Mother stated it was not until today that she was aware Child A had made the on ■ school tablet when she was contacted by Mrs. Anderson-Borsa. Child s Mother stated she has spoken with Mrs. Anderson-Borsa about how this matter would be handled moving forward. Child A's Mother was very pleased with what Mrs. Anderson-Borsa told her she would be doing. Speaking with Child A and Child B individually, speaking with both parents, child care staff members who worked in the room, and all of the children in the classroom as well. Child A's Mother stated she was extreme y pleased with how this was being addressed at the center and had no concerns about the care Child A received at the center.
