On 1/21/22, I conduct an unannounced on-site in section. I spoke with Mrs. Wildfong about the complaint. Ms. Wildfong said she was unaware that Child A was afraid, saying that she didn't want to be at her child care home until she heard it from a provider friend that Child A and B's Mother had contacted stating that she was looking for new child care because her current provider doesn't transport and she needed someone who could provide transportation. She also told this provider that it wasn't going well at the current provider's home: her daughter was saying that she was afraid and didn't want to go. Mrs. Wildfong said that Child A and B's Mother never talked to her about her concerns or about Child A being afraid. Last Wednesday was the first time she heard Child A say she was afraid during drop off. Then a bit later she heard her say it again while she was playing with another 2 child. She quickly asked Child A why she was saying that, and Child A said because Child C was trying to get her with a dinosaur. She immediately texted Child A and B's Mother and told her what Child A said. Child A and B's Mother didn't know why she would say that but didn't seem to have any concerns about it. Mrs. Wildfong denied that she would keep the children in the play room all day long and wouldn't allow them to come out. She said that the children have access to the living room, dining room, and kitchen. She said they play all over the house except upstairs and the basement. On 09/06/2022, I spoke with Child A and B's Mother's regarding the complaint. She stated they have only attended Ms. Wildfong's child care for a couple of months. Child A was afraid to go to child care because she was made to lay on the couch for hours and wasn't allowed to get up. She just wasn't sure why they were afraid to go there when they are normally happy go lucky children. On 09/07/22, I spoke with Child C, Child D and E's Mother regarding the allegation. She stated that her children love attending Ms. Wildfong childcare, they are not afraid of anything or anyone there and she doesn't have any issues with the care that her children are receiving.

Mrs. Wildfong said she does not take the children outside during the winter months. But she does take them out during the spring, summer and fall months. She thought it was too cold and that she didn't have to take them outside during the winter months because of the infants and toddlers. I explained to her that all children have to go outside everyday even in the winter months except during inclement or extreme weather. Child A and B's Mother stated that Ms. Wildfong told her that she doesn't take the children out in the winter months because the babies couldn't go out. 3 Child C, D and E's Mother stated that as far as she knows they go outside. Ms. Wildfong has toys inside and outside for the children. As far as she knows they go outside in the winter months except if it's too cold and she doesn't have a problem with that.

Mrs. said that the children eat a variety of foods each day. They eat SpaghettiOs, grilled cheese, hot dogs, chicken noodle soup, all kinds of snacks, fruits and vegetables. She serves SpaghettiOs about once or twice a week but it's not a set schedule. Mrs. Wildfong did not have a menu to provide. Child A and B's Mother stated that every day she would ask her children what they had for lunch and every day they would say SpaghettiOs. When she asked Ms. Wildfong about the menu she told her that she didn't have one. When she asked what the children had she would tell her SpaghettiOs. Child C, D and E's Mother stated that the children eat SpaghettiOs, sandwich, pasta and rice dinner, they don't come home hungry so she doesn't really have a problem with it, if they were eating SpaghettiOs every day there would be evidence because they are messy, and it would be on their clothes.
