The licensee shall ensure that the actual number of unrelated children in care at any 1 time does not exceed the number of children for which the child care home is licensed, not more than 6 children for a family child care home and not more than 12 children for a group child care home.

The Licensee Desirae Dupuis denies being over capacity. I completed two unannounced inspections and found the child care home to be within the prescribed capacity. I interviewed the Unsupervised Volunteer who confirmed that when she is there the home is within capacity. I interviewed parents who indicated they have not seen more than seven children there. One parent verified she was recently dropped due to a challenge with capacity. A review of attendance records and sign in sheets confirms that the child care home is at or under their capacity. There is no evidence to support the claim that Desirae Dupuis is exceeding capacity at her family child care home.
