On 04/10/2023, I spoke with Child A's Mother. She said that Child A's Father picked Child A up from the child care center on 04/06/2023. When Child A got in the car and stated, "Open up that little booty". Child A's Father questioned her about what she said, and she mumbled under breath. Child A's Father told Child A's Mother about the statement that Child A made in the car when he picked her up. When Child A's Mother talked to Child A, it was found that Child B touched her in her buttocks, and she needed a band aid. Child A's Mother said that she did not observe any redness or marks. Child A told her mother 3 that "Child B touched my butt". Child A's Mother told me that Child A is not very verbal. Child A's Mother stated that on 04/07/2023, Child A was taken to Beaumont Hospital Emergency Department in Royal Oak, Michigan to be examined. There was no bruising or tearing found. Child A did not return on 04/08/2023. Child A's Mother requested that Child A be placed in another classroom. On 04/10/2023, I spoke with Child A's Father. He stated that when he picked up Child A she start saying, "open up your little booty". He said that Child A kept repeating it in the car and mumbling something that he couldn't understand. Child A was not crying when she was picked up. Child A's Father reported the information to Child A's Mother and Child A told her mom. Child A told her father that Child B scratched her, and it hurt. She stated that she needed a band aid. Child A Parents examined her and did not see any bruising or tears. When they asked Child A where she was touched, she pointed to her bottom. Child A's Father called Child Care Staff Member (CCSM) 1 and spoke with her regarding the information that Child A shared with him. He told CCSM 1 that he did not want Child A in the classroom with Child B. Child A's Father explained that he is concerned because Child A does not talk a lot. On 05/02/2023, I completed an unannounced onsite inspection. I interviewed CCSM 1. Child A's Father called after hours and expressed that Child A reported that Child B touched her booty hole. This typed of language has not been heard in the classroom and is not used in the classroom. Child A's Father requested that Child A be moved to another classroom. Child A was moved the day that she returned. CCSM 1 stated that there have not been any concerns or reports made since Child A was moved to the new classroom. CCSM 1 said Child A's Mother told her that there was going to be Kids Talk interview scheduled. CCSM 1 stated that the boys and girls go to separate bathrooms. The children go separately, with a teacher. The children are always supervised. On 05/02/2023, I interviewed Sian DeMarais, Program Director. CCSM 1 reported to Ms. DeMarais that Child A's Father called her to let her know that Child A stated that Child B touched her bootyhole. Child A enrolled in the classroom in late January 2023. The majority of the time that Child A has been enrolled in the school she does not talk. I observed the classroom that Child A and Child B were in together with Ms. DeMarais, Program Director. I observed the area that Child A and Child B slept during naptime. The children did not sleep near each other. There is table where 4 CCSM 2 or CCSM 3 sit at during naptime. Sian DeMarais said that Child A and Child B really did not play together. On 05/02/2023, I spoke Child A's Mother. She confirmed that the Kids Talk interview for Child A was scheduled for May 4, 2023. She explained that Child A's Father filed a police report, and she would get the information from him. On 06/26/2023, I spoke with Child A's Mother. She explained that Child A did not say anything when she attended the Kids Talk interview.
