Appropriate care and supervision was not provided to Child A on 05/22/2025 after she soiled her pants. Child A remained in soiled pants for approximately 30 minutes as she waited to be picked up. Ms. Roberts did not contact Child A's Mother, who was already in route, to inform her of the toileting accident which caused Child A to be transported home in soiled pants.

On 02/18/2022, I interviewed the complaint source who stated that Ms. Roberts sent her text message on 12/22/2022 that showed she was caring for 8 children in her basement. She was not aware if the basement was approved for care. Ms. Roberts' husband was present and she was not aware of he was approved as a child care staff member. She sent me a copy of the text message. On 02/23/2022, I completed an unannounced onsite inspection at the family home from 1:20 pm - 1:54 pm and interviewed Ms. Roberts. When I showed her the text message, she confirmed that she cared for 8 children on 12/22/2021, as she wanted all of the children to be included in her Christmas party that lasted 3-4 hours. Her husband, David Roberts, is approved as a child care staff member and was present. They were with the children in the basement that she knew is not approved for care, as that was where her Christmas tree was set up and she wanted to take pictures. They were not in the basement long, for approximately 30 minutes, and she thought it was ok, as they go down to the same area for the tornado drills. I clarified for Ms. Roberts that she is licensed for 6 children, even during parties. I offered the suggestion that she invite a few parents to attend the parties in the future, to prevent this issue from occurring. I explained that although access is allowed to the basement for the children during tornado drills, on 12/22/2021 they were not completing a tornado drill and were providing care to the children in an unapproved space. She stated that she was currently working with her consultant on getting the basement approved for care.
