  On 04/07/2021 I received an allegation that Ms. Morence was allowing child care children to throw leaves in the firepit while there was a fire burning. On 04/08/2021 I spoke with the complainant and they indicated that the fire pit is in the child care area. They indicated that on 04/07/2021 children running around the firepit and throwing leaves in it while a fire was lit. There were about eight to ten children around the firepit. There was not an adult in sight for some time and the children were around the fire approximately 30 minutes to an hour. On 04/14/2021 I conducted an on-site inspection and interviewed Ms. Morence. She explained that she does have a firepit in her back yard however she does not have a fire lit during child care hours. She does allow the children to throw things in the pit, but it is never lit. The firepit is in the middle of the back yard surrounded by cement cylinder blocks. The child care children are not allowed in the backyard without adult supervision. I spoke with Child A's Mother and she indicated that she has no supervision concerns. She has never seen a fire lit and her child has never mentioned playing around a fire. I spoke with Child B, C, and D's Mother, she also indicated that she has no supervision concerns. She has never seen a fire lit and her child has never mentioned playing around a fire. A phone message was left for Child E's Mother however I have not received a returned phone call.
