I conducted an unannounced on-site inspection on 06/30/2022 interviewed licensees Ms. Michelle Macomber and Ms. Chelcie Macomber separately. Ms. Michelle Macomber stated that Ms. Chelcie Macomber wasn't feeling well and went to the doctor. They told her that is was possibly Rotavirus. Parents were immediately contacted and she did not work. It ended up not being 2 Rotavirus. Ms. Chelcie Macomber explained that she was sick and went to the doctor. She was told it was possible Rotavirus. She did not go to work and contacted the child care parents immediately to notify them. I spoke with Child B, Child C and Child D's Mother. She stated that if someone is sick the child care will close, or they will give the option of not sending your child that day. Child E and Child F's Mother stated that she has no concerns regarding how the home handles illnesses and closings due to illness.
An outbreak of rotavirus at the facility and they continued to operate. Children are not allowed to wash their hands. Children are only provided with lunch and snack. Children must urinate outside in a bucket with no toilet tissue. They are not allowed to have a bowel movement while at child care. Frequently there are animals including goats and pigs that are allowed to roam free throughout the child care facility.

(1) A licensee shall ensure that all of the following requirements are met: (a) Each child shall be provided with nutritional and sufficient food pursuant to the minimum meal requirements of the child care food program, as administered by the Michigan department of education. These minimum meal requirements are based on the dietary guidelines for Americans made by the National Academy of Medicine, which are available at https://www.fns.usda.gov/cacfp/meals-and- snacks. This subrule does not apply to children whose parents provide their food.
Ms. Michelle Macomber and Ms. Chelcie Macomber both indicated that all children are provided with breakfast, lunch and snacks while they are in care. The parents I spoke with had no concerns regarding their children not being fed properly. They have never had concerns of them being hungry or deprived food. During the on-site the kitchen was stocked with food that was identified as food for the child care children.

Ms. Michelle Macomber and Ms. Chelsie Macomber both stated that the children are allowed to relieve themselves whenever they need to. They have access to the bathroom in the home, the bathroom in the garage and a porta- 4 pot that is in the backyard. The porta-pot flushes with water, there is toilet tissue provided and a sink with running water and soap. The porta-pot is sanitized daily. Child care parents had no concerns regarding their children being denied access to the bathrooms or being told they could not have a bowel movement while in care.

The licensees stated that the only animals they have in their home are dogs. There have never been animals such as goats and pigs roaming throughout the home. I did a walk thru of the home and there were no animals in the home other then dogs. The child care children's parents did not report any concerns of animals roaming the home. They both stated that the home has dogs which they are aware of.
