There was no safety concerns observed. Children have access to appropriate toys and equipment. Teachers care for and supervise children a ppropriately in the space.

The fire extinguisher must bear a tag indicating the last date of inspection or service and the initials of the individual who performed the inspection or service.

A fire extinguisher by the exit door has not been professionally checked since December 2024. The Fire Prevention Association Standards require p rofessional maintenance annually.

During the onsite inspection, a teacher was in a clearly divided room and left 7 children, the youngest two years old, unsupervised from 11:15a.m. to 11:18a.m. She then returned and repeatedly left and came back to the room until the 7 children were combined with the other classroom for naptime.

R 400.8222(8) · R 400.8222(8) Capacity; ratio and group size requirements (8) If there are children of mixed ages in the same room or well-defined space, the ratio and group size is determined by the age of the youngest child, unless each group of children is clearly separated and the appropriate child care staff member-to-child ratios and group sizes, if applicable, for each age group are maintained.

During the onsite inspection, a teacher was in a clearly defined area with seven children. The youngest child was two years old thus requiring a 1:4 teacher to child ratio. The children were later combined for nap with a 4:22 teacher to child ratio.

During the onsite inspection, a teacher's two year old child and another teacher's nine year old child were present. The center is not approved for children under 2 1/2 years or older than 6 years.
