On 10/03/2022, 1 observed the preschool, and preK children being served cheese ball puffs and water as their afternoon snack. Ms. Sherman stated that cheese ball puffs are served in the regular rotation as an afternoon snack to their preschool and preK children. Ms. Sherman said that graham crackers and fruit loops are also included in the regular rotation for snacks. Milk is not served with these snacks. Ms. Sherman stated that all the staff are trained on how to properly clean the classrooms, tables, diaper pads, cots, toys, and play equipment. The center uses the 3-step process using soapy water, water, and diluted bleach water to sanitize these items. Ms. Sherman said that all toys that are dirty are immediately removed from the classroom and cleaned before being returned. All tables are cleaned after activities and before snacks and lunch is served. Ms. Sherman denied receiving any complaints from staff or parents regarding the classrooms or toys not being cleaned. Ms. Meribeth Leo stated that all staff members clean the tables and the toys using the 3-step process. Ms. Elizabeth denied ever having concerns about staff not properly cleaning items. Ms. Payton Leo denied ever seeing children eating at dirty tables or playing with dirty toys. Ms. Payton Leo stated that staff are always cleaning around the classrooms and sanitizing the toys and play equipment. Ms. Rockel stated that she always uses the 3-step sanitizing process on classroom items, tables, and diaper pads. Ms. Rockel denied having any concerns about staff not properly cleaning items in the center. On 10/03/2022 and 11/03/2022, I conducted inspections in all four classrooms. The tables, toys, and changing tables all appeared clean.
