On August 14, 2023, I made an unannounced onsite inspection to the child care center and discussed the allegations with the licensee designee Reana Hamilton. Ms. Hamilton stated that the allegations are true, and they do have roof leaks. I viewed the child care center ceilings and there were multiple water stains in various areas of the center’s ceilings, however there was no visible mold observed. I asked Ms. Hamilton what they do with the child care children when it rains and the ceiling is leaking. Ms. Hamilton stated that they do not allow the child care children in the areas of the leaks when it rains. I informed Ms. Hamilton that 2 the center would need to get an environmental health inspection to assure the center was safe for the children. During the onsite inspection on August 14, 2023, I conducted an exit conference with Ms. Reana Hamilton and discussed the findings of the inspection. On September 22, 2023, I made an unannounced onsite inspection to the child care center. Ms. Hamilton stated they completed the environmental health inspection. I viewed the environmental health inspection, which stated that the center needed to replace the roof of the center. Ms. Hamilton stated that the owner has a date scheduled in October to replace the roof of the center. On February 21, 2024, I received an email from Ms. Reana Hamilton with a copy of the A rated Environmental Health Report dated September 21, 2023. The report recommended the roof and tiles be replaced. Ms. Reana Hamilton stated in her email that the roof has been repaired.
