I conducted an on site inspection on 06/01/2022 and interviewed the licensee, Lori Carollo. She neither physically nor verbally abuses the children in her care and did not "know what that is." Ms. Carollo's discipline policy was reviewed while on site and deemed developmentally appropriate as well as acceptable per child care licensing rules and regulations. 2 During phone interviews with Child B's mother and Child D's mother conducted on 06/16/2022, neither parent expressed concern with Ms. Carollo's discipline policy. Child B's mother had not witnessed any inappropriate disciplinary actions. Child D's mother had not heard of any inappropriate disciplinary actions from other parents and had no specific concerns regarding discipline. Voicemail messages were left for Child A's parent as well as Child C's parent on 06/15/2022. Neither parent returned the call.

While on site, this consultant inspected the licensed child use space. The spaces had toys and activities for the children as well as appropriate bedding. The child care space also included Ms. Carollo's furniture and belongings as the child care is located in her home. While there were many household items, the child care space did not appear to be unhygienic. The children in care were safe in accordance with the relevant rule. The children in care during the inspection appeared to be comfortable. Neither Child B's mother nor Child D's mother verbalized concern in regards to the cleanliness of Ms. Carollo's house. ................................

I conducted an onsite on 08/06/2021 and spoke to the licensee, Lori Carollo. Ms. Carollo stated that the children do go outside on a regular basis. The written daily routine was reviewed. It was observed that outdoor play was scheduled. The outdoor play area, located directly behind the house, was inspected for signs of use. The area did appear to be used on a regular basis.

Throughout the duration of the onsite inspection, the children in attendance were napping. The television was on; however, it was playing music rather than playing a television show/video. A telephone interview with Delaney Cram, child care staff member revealed that the television is on during the day; however, she could not determine the exact length of time it was on. Ms. Carollo stated that the children did not watch tv all day.
