R 400.1911 · R 400.1911 Care; supervision; children. (1) A licensee shall ensure appropriate care and supervision of children at all times.

There is no evidence showing that Mrs. Nicholas has been providing inappropriate care and supervision of the children in relation to the allegations. There have been no bite incidents involving Dak the pug and the child care children over the last four years. Interviews with the parents identified no concerns with care and supervision of their children in Mrs. Nicholas' care. Mrs. Nicholas understands that she is responsible for ensuring appropriate care and supervision of the children at all times even when the children are in contact with animals residing at the child care.

Dak the pug has been in the care of Michelle Nicholas for four years and there have been no bite incidents involving Dak the pug and the child care children. Interviews with the parents identified no biting incidents by dogs with their children when in Mrs. Nicholas' care. The Ausable Valley Animal Control allowed Dak to return to Mrs. Nicholas' care and they did not feel the dog is a threat to anyone.
