During my on-site visit, there were only nine children in care at the child care center. The center is recruiting more staff and enrolling children, but their numbers are currently low. On 01/10/2023 I completed an unannounced visit to the child care center. I met with Program Director Wende Plasier. Ms. Plaiser stated the lead caregivers who work in her center are qualified and have the required trainings from the State of Michigan's MiRegistry. I was able to look through staff files and verified lead caregiver Pam Mardigal is enrolled in college. She has completed 12 semester hours in early childhood education including an infant and toddler course, a child development course, and an early childhood course. She has over 960 hours of experience. Her degree concentration is early childhood education. Ms. Mardigal works in the infant space and will help out in the preschool space when attendance is allowed. Lead caregiver Kensey Plaisier is enrolled in college. She has completed 15 semester hours of early childhood education including infant and toddler courses, a child development course and an early childhood education course. She has over 2
