On July 7, 2023, 1 was contacted by Kendra McNicol regarding the A 1. incident between Child and Unrelated Child 1 received an incident report completed by Ms. McNicol regarding this on July 8, 2023. On July 13, 2023, 1 made an unannounced onsite inspection to the child care home and interviewed lbs. McNicol. Unrelated Child 1 was over to the house visiting lbs. McNicol's grandson who was visiting the home. Her grandson, , Unrelated Child A and Child A were playing hide and seek upstairs while she was downstairs with another child. Unrelated Child 1;s grandmother came to pick him up and he ran down 2 the stairs and past Ms. McNicol. She thought that it was odd that he seemed to be in such a hurry and noticed that his swim trunks seemed to not be on correctly. Her grandson told her that he thought something happened between Unrelate Child A and Child A. He told her that he found Unrelated Child 1 and Child when they were playing hide and seek. He did not see Unrelated Child 1 Child A, but Unrelated Child I admitted to it. Ms. McNicol went to speAaRwit Unrelated Child 1's mother regarding the incident and _ Child A while in the closet playing hide and seek. When she asked Child A about what happened, Child A would only say "it's a secret" but otherwise seemed unphased by the incident. Ms. McNicol told Unrelated Child 1 that he was no longer allowed to be in the house or around children in care. She said that her grandson felt guilty that it happened since he was playing hide and seek with Unrelated Child 1 and Child A. Ms. McNicol verified that she notified both Child A's mother and father regarding the incident. Child A only attends her child care on weeks when she is with her father, so she has not been back this week but is still enrolled and attending her child care. On July 12, 2023, 1 interviewed Child A's father. He acknowledged that he was informed of the incident by Ms. McNicol and thought that she handled it very professionally. He did not have any concerns regarding the care provided to Child A by Ms. McNicol and that Child A continues to attend her child care. He said that Child A did not appear to be negatively affected by the incident.
