On 6/21/22, I received the above allegations. A review of the intake found three mobile phone screen shots of what appears to be The Growing Patch Facebook page. The photos show 3-4 different children playing in a green turtle sandbox that had been emptied of sand and filled with several inches of water and medium sized colored balls. I attempted to contact the complainant to for further details regarding the source of the photographs; however, my voicemail message was not returned. On 6/30/2022, I conducted an unannounced onsite inspection at Growing Patch child care center. When I arrived, I was met by child care staff member (CCSM) Ms. Tracy Sloan and informed that approved program director, Ms. Amanda Schneider had the day off. Ms. Sloan stated she had no knowledge of children using a wading pool while at Growing Patch. I showed her a picture of children playing in a large green plastic turtle that was submitted with the original allegations. Ms. Sloan again stated that she had no knowledge of the activity. I then spoke with lead caregiver for 2 the preschool room, Ms. Alexis Bahl. Ms. Bahl looked at the picture and confirmed that approximately two weeks ago, she has filled the green turtle with "a few inches of water and balls" for the children to play in on at least one occasion. Ms. Bahl stated that she was unaware that children could not use wading pools while at child care centers.
