On 03/2912023. 1 contacted ['Ii' On 03/29/2023, 1 contacted Child A's Mother. Child A has attended Matrix for one year. I began by asking Child A's Mother when did the incident occur. Child A's Mother said she couldn't remember, but she said she had a text message of when 2 she texted the center director to make her aware of the incident. Child A's Mother was unable to locate the text message to confirm the date. Child A's Mother proceed*to she icked up Child A "a few weeks ago" and Child A said, "My teache She asked her daughter to tell her what ha ened. Child A repeate ac er Child A's Mother noticed on Child ~ A's- but wasn't sure how it got there. Child A could not articulate which teacher she was referring to. Child A's Mother said she went to the center the next day to make them aware of what Child A said. She said she asked Child A again who it was, and Child A told her it was "the teacher with the braids." When she arrived, she spoke with Ms. Natasha Jackson, program director and CCSM 2 about the incident. Both the program director and CCSM 2 had not heard of any incidences recalling when Child A said, "her teacher " however, Ms. Jackson said she would look further into the situation. On 03/29/2023, 1 arrived at the facility with . We interviewed CCSM 1 and Witness 1. CCSM 1 has been employed at Matrix Tabernacle for six years in the Early Head start room, room 3. CCSM 1 told us that on 02/07/2023 she was absent and her co-worker, CCSM 2 called her at home. CCSM 2 told CCSM 1 that Child A's Mother came up to the center and said Child A stated that CCSM 2 asked CCSM I if she knew anything about incident. CCSM 1 said no, she did not. CCSM 1 said on 02/08/2023 when she returned to school, she was asked about Child's A's= by program director, Ms. Natasha Jackson. CCSM 1 told Ms. Jackson that she was not aware of an incident involving Child A and her_. Nothing else was said about Child A's by Child A, Child A's Mother, or any of the staff at Matrix from 02/08/2023 — 03121/2023. CCSM 1 said on 03/21/2023, Ms. Jackson said Child A's Mother mentioned the incident to her again regarding Child A saying, "My teacher This time, Child A's Mother said, "Child A said, "my teacher , but it wasn't CCSM 2." CCSM 1 said she was the only other teacher in the class. Ms. Jackson 3 addressed the parent's concern with CCSM 1. CCSM 1 denied ever touching Child A in any inappropriate manner. On 03/23/2023, CCSM 1 said she was moved to a different room because of the allegations. On 03/24/2023, Ms. Jackson put CCSM 1 on administrative leave until the situation was rectified. Ms. Jackson confirmed both moving CCSM 1 to a different room and placing CCSM 1 on administrative leave until an investigation could be completed. CCSM 1 said she had never had any issues or prior incidents with Child A or her mother before the accusations. and I interviewed Witness 1. She has been employed for six years at the center and she said she has never seen or heard of CCSM 1 hurting any of the children at Matrix. She was very surprised at hearing the allegations. and I interviewed CCSM 2. She has worked in the building with CCSM 1 "or ive years, but directly in classroom 3 with CCSM 1 since January. She said she recalls being asked about Child A saying, "my teacher ." She said she was surprised because she had never heard Child complain that her CCSM 2 said she has never seen CCSM 1 mistreat any child in the five years s e has worked with her. She has only seen her care for children in a loving way. and I CCSM 3 who is a floater. She has worked with CCSM 1 on several occasions. She said she doesn't know what could have happened for these allegations to come up because CCSM 1 loves all the children and parents. She said she has never seen CCSM 1 be inappropriate with any child. Re and I interviewed program director Natasha Jackson.
