On October 29, 2024, the drinking water at Matrix appeared brown and foggy. The facility closed early on October 29, 2024 and remained closed on October 30, 2024 while maintenance staff for the building resolved the issue. The center reopened on October 31, 2024, after the water was tested. All sinks, lavatories, drinking fountains, and other water outlets were deemed safe and sufficient.
