On 11/04/2022, I conducted a telephone interview with the complainant. The complainant provided the same information stated in the allegations. On 11104/2022, 1 interviewed Child A's Mother regarding the allegations. She stated that Child A has attend the center for the past three years. Child A is in the pre k class with child care staff members (CCSM) On 10113/2022, she received an audio recording of Child i1 's Mother did not listen to the message and Child A was sent to the center the following day. Child A stated that threw her and Child B against the wall and they hit their head. ChUd A and Child B was crying. Child A stated that put her and Child B in a room with the lights off. Child A did not want to go back to center and stated that is mean. Child A's Mother said she never observed any injuries or marks on Child A. Child A's Mother called the center and reported her concern. She was told that they would look into it and no one followed up with her. She went to the center to get Child A's belongings and she spoke to , office administrator, spoke to Child A and regarding the allegations, denied the allegations. Child 's Mother was told that Child A and Child B was hastening, an stepped in. Child A's Mother was not told if hit Child A and Child told Child A that she 1 should not tell ores, and that people can get into trouble. asked Child A when did the incident occur and Child A was not able to give her ay. She asked Child A to take her to the room and Child A took her to a room in the back of the center. - stated that Child A took her to the back office/ supply room and the children are not allowed in there. Child A's last day at the center was 10/23/2022. Child A's Mother provided two recordings of Child A for review. On the first recording, Child A could be heard stating that "throw us on the wall, and she whooped us". The child then repeated, "she whopped us and throwed us on the wall on our heads". An adult asked the child, "what was you and Child B doing when she did that?" Child A stated they were crying when she threw them on the wall. The adult asked, why did she do that again. Child A stated that they did not do anything because she just threw them on the wall. The second recording, the adult asks Child A, who made you sad? Child A stated my teacher said she was going to whoop us, but we didn't do nothing. She hurt our feelings. The adult asked Child A was that the reason she was crying in the car when she woke up and Child A said yes. You were thinking about what your teacher said. She told you, you need to do what? Child A responded, "Nothing then repeated she said she was going to whopped us, but we didn't do nothing." The adult then said, "you said, she said you and Child B need to go to another school", Child A said "yeah". The adult then asked Child A to tell her what the teacher said to 3 her. Child A said, "she said we were going to another school, but we were listening at that school". The adult asked Child A did it make her feel sad, hurt her feelings and Child A said "yes". At the end of the conversation, Child A identified ■ as the teacher. On 11/04/2022, l interviewed Child B's Mother. Child B's Mother said she picked Child B up one day and he told her that he was in a dark room and ghost were in there. Child B's Mother said she did not know if they were celebrating Halloween and he observed Halloween decorations. Child B's Mother examines her son and has not observed any injuries or bruising. Child B's Mother said she does not believe that the children were put in a closet with snakes and spiders. Child B's Mother said Child B and Child A have very active imaginations. Child B's Mother has not had any issues with ASA Learning Preparatory. Child B has not disclosed that he was thrown against a wall. She will be leaving Child B at the daycare. On 1110412022, Child B's Mother said she has no concerns regarding the food that is provided to the children at the center for lunch. Child B has been provided lunch daily. On 11/14/2022, and I spoke to Ms. Byrd, regarding the allegations. According to Ms. Byrd, she was unawareRREM allegations of Child A not being allowed to eat her grapes or applesauce during lunch. The center provides snack to the children. Lunch is provided by the parents, or the parents can pay an additional fee for lunch to be provided to the children. Ms. Byrd was unsure if Child A brought a lunch or if lunch was provided by the center. According to , the center provides lunch and snack to the children. If the children do not finishtheir food, it is put away for them to eat later for snack. W stated that she has never taken or not allowed Child A to eat her fo stated that one day she took Child A to her mother at dismissal time. S e ear hild A tell her mother she did not eat lunch. stated that she went back and asked Child A what did they have for lunch. Child A told them what was for lunch and then she asked her didn't you eat that for lunch and Child A stated yes. According to , the children choose what they want to eat, and food is never withheld from the children, - has never seen not allow Child A to eat her lunch. On 12/29/2022, 1 spoke to Child C's Mother regarding the allegations. She stated that the center provides lunch to the children for a fee. She prepares Child C's lunch 6 and send it to the school daily. However, the center does provide snacks to Child C. She has no concern regarding Child C receiving her snack daily.
