She had to help Child B in the Child B had and so the five to seven minutes. While she was attending to Child B in the e other children were in the playroom located past the kitchen and within listening distance to th She said that prior to helping Child B in the she placed Child A in a baby Einstein stationary sitting device that allows "chi ren to sit up and touch their feet on the ground at the same time without moving anywhere. Also in the playroom was minor household member. While _ up Child B, she heard Child A make fussing noises as well as minor household member which is not unusual when she leaves the room. She explained that the children she had in care that day and her own child are all new to the child care setting so adjusting to other children has been a small struggle for all the children. When she returned to the playroom a proximately five to seven minutes later, she noticed that Child A had a small drop . She administered first aid, and it was time for Child A's bottle, so she made Child A the bottle and sat down to feed Child A. During that time, she got on her mobile application for notifying parents and filled out an incident report and included pictures. There was only a small Child A' . She was unsure if Child A had done this to himself Priminor household member had done it to Child A while, she was helping Child B in th~. When she laid Child A down for a nap, she took another photo and added it to the incident report. She also contacted Child A's mother via text to let her know what happened. Child A's mother arrived to pick up Child A early at 2:30 and was described as being short and accusatory in demeanor to Samantha Linder. Minor household member is nonverbal and under two years old. Samantha Linder said that like all children she has witnessed minor household member push other children down, but neve . She did not feel that Child A's injuries were as extensive as Child A's"pDaren re making them out to be. She understands that Child A is their first child and so this can be upsetting. Due to the way that Child A's parents were accusing her of not taking proper care of Child A, she felt it was best to terminate Child A's contract. She informed Child A's parents of this and they became more upset and threatened her with a lawsuit over the Samantha Linder said she no longer wants to care for infants until minor household member has matured and adjusted to having other children in the home, and that was another reason why she felt the need to terminate Child A's contract. It was explained to Samantha Linder that direct supervision is not required by the child care 3 licensing rules and regulations one hundred percent of the time as long as the child care staff member knows what activities the children are engaging in at all times. In this situation, she was within her ratio and capacity, and it was necessary that she attend to Child B. She made appropriate arrangements for Child A while she was out of the room and knew minor household member was playing with toys. She had no prior knowledge of minor household member and hearing fussing while she was out of the room was not out oft e ordinary for Child A or minor household member. made a safety plan going
