Ms. Murrie stated that effective April 28, 2023, Child A is no longer enrolled at the facility due to his on-going behavior issues. Ms. Murrie explained that Child A was aggressive and used profanity while in care. She reported that Child A's Mother contacted her after school on April 13, 2023, to report that Child A had a . Ms. Murrie reported that on the date in stion, Child A was presen rom 8:00am until 11:30am. She did not notice any on Child A, nor was it reported to her that he had injured himself. i and I reviewed the center's video from the date and time in question. Child A was observed on the video to by very active. He ran throughout the room playing with a hula hoop and jumping into foam cushions. There was no footage showing a childcare staff member having any physical contact with Child A. Mrs. Murrie showed a picture that was sent to her via text from Child A's Mother. The picture showed Child A's face being slightly red as if his face were red from running or playing. The picture was not date stamped indicating when it was taken and is on file with the department. On May 15, 2023, Childcare staff member (CCSM) 1, reported that she did not observe an injury to Child A's face on the date in question. She said that Child A did not have an accident that would cause a red mark to his face. She denied that she or any of the other staff members have thrown an object at, hit or used inappropriate discipline on Child A. CCSM1 reported that she is aware of the center's discipline policy. Child A was on a behavior plan due to him hitting, kicking and spitting on others. When this occurred, she would kneel to his level and speak to him about what he did and his behaviors being unacceptable. On May 15, 2023, CCSM2 reported that Child A has thrown objects at her and other staff, CCSM2 has never witnessed or heard about a staff member throwing anything at Child A or using prohibited means of discipline on Child A. CCSM2 is aware of the center's discipline policy. She denied hitting Child A. On May 15, 2023, Child B's male) Mother reported that she has no concerns with the child care facility. She has had numerous family members attend the childcare and they love it. Child B's Mother reported that she does not have any concerns with discipline. On May 15, 2023, Child C's female) Mother loves this child care facility. She stated that she is very happy with the services received. Child C's Mother does not have any concerns about staff or discipline techniques used. On May 16, 2023, CCSM3 was interviewed via telephone. CCSM 3 denied ever using prohibited means of discipline on Child A. She denied witnessing any other staff members using prohibited means of discipline on Child A or any other child in care. CCSM3 reported that Child A was often defiant and used foul language. 3 When this occurred, CCSM3 stated that she would use redirection or ask him to sit and calm down. On June 21, 2023, Child A's Mother reported that she doesn't think that a staff member intentionally hurt Child A but can only go by what Child A told her. He reported to her that a teacher.
