These transitions were observed to be completed in an untimely, unpredictable, and chaotic manner. Children were seen waiting for extended periods of time, either to use the bathroom or standing in line in the hallway while putting their lunchboxes away. It was noted that transitions were not organized in advance, resulting in children having to wait for an extended period of time.
