EEC Assistant
Educator, [REDACTED] (one approved and one unapproved) were on the premises at the time of this visit. Additionally, Educator's [REDACTED] was present and he has no approved background record check. Please add [REDACTED]as a person regularly on the premises and ensure a background record check is done and approved before [REDACTED] returns to the home during child care hours. Please begin process and verify he will not return until this is complete.

Licensor reviewed children's record and the only thing missing were lead tests for some children. Please review all records and obtain missing lead tests; please confirm once records are completed.
Educator and approved assistant were staffing the program, however there was an unapproved person there that Educator said was shadowing; she is interested in becoming an assistant. Unapproved caregiver was asked to vacate the premises. Please ensure that all caregivers staffing the program are licensed as family child care assistants, and no person shadows the program without an appropriate background record check; please verify this will not occur in the future.
This monitoring visit inspection recorded no violations or advisories.

Assistant, [REDACTED]was the assistant working with Educator. Educator reported that assistant was in renewal, however Licensor confirmed this was not the case. Assistant is expired and closed. Please ensure [REDACTED]reapplies and completes the licensing process as soon as possible. Please note [REDACTED]cannot act as an assistant until that is done.
Educator's assistant, [REDCATED] is expired and closed, therefore compromises ratio. The ages of the children were 1.5y, 2y, 3y, 3y, 10 months, 2y, 3y, 3y, 3y. Please ensure a new assistant is available while Ashley renews her license. Confirm plan with Licensor as soon as possible.

EEC Assistant
Licensor walked through the indoor space and observed the following hazards: INDOOR:- There were several kitchen drawers and cabinets that held hazards such as medications, loose cables, aluminum foil, scissors, and cleaning products. Please ensure these items are made inaccessible to childcare children and confirm once completed. There was also a knife block on the counter. Please make this inaccessible to the childcare children. In the living room, there was dog food/water and a soiled puppy pad on the floor. Please remove these items from the childcare space and confirm once completed. In the dining room, there were electrical outlets that were not covered. Please add covers to all electrical outlets. OUTDOOR: The fence had several areas where the ground had eroded, which posed an entrapment hazard. Please fix fence or add more material to ensure these areas are covered.
Stairways
Educator does not provide care during the summer as she follows a school schedule, however she does not go inactive. Educator's daughter is a nanny and arrived at the home with two children. Educator's daughter is not an EEC approved caregiver and Licensor discussed this. Please ensure only EEC approved caregivers are providing care in the program.
The stairs were missing a gate at the top. Please add this to ensure children don't have access to the stairway and confirm once completed.
Educator did not have a thermometer in the mini fridge where she stores children's belongings. Please add a thermometer to this fridge and ensure it is set between 32 and 40F degrees. Please confirm once completed.
