This monitoring visit inspection recorded no violations or advisories.
Upon arrival, the educator was alone with 10 children. The educator reported that the assistant had quickly stepped out to buy some lunch and that this was a one-time occurrence. The assistant arrived about 10 minutes after the visit started. Discussed with educator that this is not allowed, especially considering the number of young children and infants present.

Progress Reports
One child is missing the progress report. Child is receiving(REDACTED) therefore, report must be done every 3 months. Provider has been using Funshine Express
Regulation # 7.06(1)(c)(1) states that "The Licensee must ensure that there is a sufficient quantity of materials and equipment...," Licensor observed that the provider was missing a high chair for a (REDACTED) to be seated at lunch time in order to be fed along with the other children. Regulation # 7.06(2)(a) states that Transitions between activities "must be planned and organized in advance to avoid children waiting." Licensor observed this same (REDACTED) child waiting inside a playpen while observing other children eating, and this child was crying for a while until she was picked up to be spoon fed. . The regulation related to the Care of young children -curriculum #7.06(01)(b)(14) was observed by this Licensor and was followed appropriately by the Provider and the assistant.

Three children’s records are missing the physical and immunization’s updates. Four children’s records are missing the lead tests. One child is missing the annual update with the current provider. Technical assistance was given to the provider (REDACTED). The form provided by (REDACTED) must have the provider's name on it and form must be given to the provider before or at the time that the child arrives to the program.

Some of the children’s emergency card information are missing or are in need to be updated.
Provider must have to get an extra high chair for a (REDACTED) child to be seated during lunch time, so child does not have to wait longer than others in order to be fed. Bottle cannot be given to this child in playpen to drink while laying down, she must be seated.
Tested 133 degrees F - Water temperature cannot be higher than 120 degrees F. Please adjust the hot water and report new reading to EEC.
Provider must meet the USDA guidelines, including the feeding requirements of each child. (REDACTED) child was given milk in a bottle while laying down in a playpen which can be a choking hazard. Then this same child needed to wait to be spoon fed since there was not a high chair available when the other children were fed. Based on the USDA guidelines, children must be served all meal components at the same time. Provider belongs to the Provider’s Food program
Missing toothbrushes for toddler children. Provider reported that toothbrushing happens sometimes after lunch or breakfast. Technical assistance was given to the provide regarding doing toothbrushing to the toddlers.
Toothbrushes cannot have a cover. Technical assistance was given to the provider to move them from under the sink to another area.
Licensor observed a playground equipment and a separate slide that does not comply with the EEC Playground Safety policy. Please have these two equipments removed from the backyard since they are missing the appropriate fall zones.
