Observations from original visit on 2026-04-06 00:00:00: At the time of the visit, the director was preparing lunch, and the children had access to the hot stove. There wasn't a barrier separating the classroom from the kitchen area. Corrective Plan received on 2026-05-10 00:00:00: We are now preparing lunch prior to the children's arrival. This change has been implemented to ensure the safety and to avoid the need for barriers that might diminish the space's comfort. To ensure that the children do not have access to the oven, I installed safety locks to prevent children from opening the oven's door. On the stove, the burners will not be hot during operating hours and the knobs are located at the back, out of the children's reach. The stove is secured to the wall and teachers are always watching them. UPDATE ON 6/11/26: During today's visit, lunch was again being prepared during the day. Licensee stated she hired a new staff to cover breaks and help bring the preschool room outside form 10:30-11:30, so that Licensee can cook lunch during that time. If the weather is going to be bad, Licensee cooks lunch before the program opens. However, at today's visit, it was very hot outside and the children were not able to stay outside for the entire hour. This was unexpected and Licensee had not prepared lunch. Licensors discussed with Licensee that a barrier needs to be installed in the preschool room, so that the children do not have access to the kitchen area.
