At the time of the visit the children's attendance record was not up to date. The 3 children present did not have arrival times documented for today 3/3/25. Additionally, the educator was observed updating the attendance record (writing down times) during the visit.
Licensors observed the first aid kit did not have an INSTANT cold pack.
EEC Regulations require that Garbage must be kept in lined and covered containers. Licensors observed an uncovered trash bin in the bathroom area.
Both exits were accessible. However EEC policy requires that all exits must be clearly marked with visible exit signs posted above the approved exit. During the visit, it was observed educator did not have an exit signed posted above the back exit door located in the kitchen area and leading to the enclosed porch.
Licensors observed the following hazards in the outdoor space: 1) Loose hose that was on the stairways leading into the deck area causing a tripping hazard for children. 2) Two tools (rakes) located on the side of back door exit accessible to the children.

Parent Handbook
Despite educator having a parent handbook from her affiliated agency available, educator did not have a parent handbook specifically designed for her program.
During, the visit educator did not have evidence of PQR information available at the program.
During the visit, 3 random records of the children enrolled were reviewed. The following was observed: -CHILD #1: did not have lead screening results on file. -CHILD #2: did not have admission date in the enrollment packet. -CHILD #3: did not have admission date in the enrolment packet. Additionally, the child's emergency contact information and Emergency Card were incomplete in the enrollment packet.
During the visit, Licensor reviewed the 6 progress reports of the children enrolled at this time. The following was observed: 1) Two children progress reports were not up to date on file 2) Two children were missing progress reports on file.

During the visit, Licensor observed the following accessible to the children: INDOOR HAZARDS: 1) air freshener in the bathroom area 2) dog’s products (shampoo) on the floor in the bathroom area OUTDOOR HAZARDS: -small black charcoal grill in the deck -fishing pole in the deck -broken pallets in the backyard area around the pool -uncovered fire pit with ashes inside in the backyard area around the pool -two uncovered lawnmowers in the backyard area around the pool -uncovered lawnmower in the front yard area -broken glass candle holder in the deck area

The educator needs to maintain a log of test made monthly. If the smoke detector is battery operated, the batteries must be replaced at least annually, or more often as necessary, and noted in the safety log.
