The licensor observed that the educator did not have a consistent routine or structure in the program, the children were taking all toys out or throwing toys and fitting. The educator was trying to deal with the hectic situations but was using lots of “No” word instead of redirection.
Although the educator has some age appropriate materials, the educator needs manipulative toys and art materials.
Interactions with Children
Two children’s records reviewed did not have documentation of current progress reports.
The educator was not consistent and predictable when implementing program rules and expectations. The educator kept on intervening to remove toys rather than provided guidance to positive behavior or expectations.
This licensor observed that the educator had a difficult time implementing a structure routine with the children present. The educator had to intervene multiple times when children were playing. The children were observed easily fighting, crying and hitting each other.
