During the visit, an educator used a chair strap to help keep a young toddler seated at snack time. The educator stated that the child tends to walk around and needs to remain seated while eating. The licensing specialist raised concerns about the strap's use, and the educator was asked to remove it. The strap was not part of the approved seat and may be considered a form of restraint. The educators were encouraged to use seats designed with straps to assess children's sitting when needed.
