Violation
During a review of the educator implemented art projects in all open classrooms, the following was learned:1) Educators did not allow for independence, putting the glue on the paper for the children, cutting out all the shapes for the children (in both toddlers and in preschool) and Educators were observed pointing to sections on the paper, telling children exactly where to put the pre-cut Constuction paper images. 2) Additionally in Room 110, Child A was observed to "refuse" to go to the sink and wash their hands. Educator A told Child A they were "Gross" for touching the toys with "dirty" hands from the art project. After calling Child A over to the sink twice, Educator B was observed to grab Child A by the shoulder and physically redirect them to the sink, where they "boxed" Child A in with their own body, forcing Child A to wash their hands. This shows an overall lack of good judgement and inappropriate behavior management.
