Educator stated she has purchased fake grass/artificial turf, but licensor explained that this will not provide the proper fall zone material needed for the structure. Discussed this structure being required to have the appropriate fall zone material (9 inches deep and 6 feet around), such as playground mulch, installed or the structure must be removed from the area and made inaccessible to the children. Licensor will inspect whatever corrective action was made during the peeling paint follow up visit to the home.

The following hazards were observed in the outdoor play space. 1.A large broken cement tile on the ground. 2. A large hidden area under the stairs is exposed and must be made inaccessible to children. 3. Large metal tool chest was not locked. 4. Rakes, a bug light, an uncovered grill, and other random debris were accessible in the area. The educator discussed fencing off an area around the back of the home for these items to be kept and made inaccessible to children. 5. A wide space in the yard between wooden beams can pose a tripping hazard. The educator stated she is planning to fill the area in with sand to make a sandbox for the children. Discussed covering the sandbox with a tarp when not being used by the children.
