Large waterproof changing pad is used for diapering on the floor outside the bathroom, so educator has easy access to the sink to wash her hands and the child's hands. Educator is not using a disposable layer between the child and pad. Discussed using white sheet paper or puppy training pads as a disposable layer. The layer must be an adequate size to prevent the child from coming in contact with the changing surface.
