We discussed the regulations that these portable heaters cannot be used during child care hours, and they can be barricaded or removed. The educator proceeded to turn them off, and she turned on her regular gas heating system in her home. The baseboard heaters were functioning before licensor left the home.

The educator uses the backyard for child care. We discussed that she needs to expand the fenced in area since it currently only measured about 286 square feet it total. The regulations were discussed regarding the total square footage per license capacity which entails 75 square feet per child. In summary for the license capacity of six a total of 450 square feet is required, for eight a total of 600 feet is required, etc.; (6 - 450 sq. ft.; 8 - 600 sq. ft.; 10 - 750 sq. ft.)
