At the time of the visit, the Maple 6 Classroom was observed to have seven students present and eight signed into the classroom attendance. One of the educators in the classroom was able to quickly identify which student was not signed out of the attendance, and knew the time the student had transitioned into a preschool classroom. At the time of the visit, the educator updated their attendance records. The program must maintain daily attendance records indicating each child's attendance, including arrival and departure times.

At the time of the visit, in a review of three students IHCPs and the corresponding medication consent documentation, the documentation was not fully complete. One student was missing documentation on if the medication was a prescription and directions for storage. All medications must be accompanied by written parental consent and healthcare practitioner authorization when applicable.

At the time of the visit, the Preschool Playground did not have an adequate fall zone around the play structure. At the time of the visit the woodchips around the play structure were 0.5-1inches in depth. At the time of the observation, the students were not using the play structure. The use zones under and around swings, slides, and climbing structures must be covered with an adequate depth of an impact absorbing material, in accordance with EEC policy.
