It was observed that there were twenty-eight students and three educators present in the group, within one classroom. Children may be assigned to groups with others within their same age range, as specified by the Department provided the requirements of 606 CMR 7.10(9)(b)1-6 are met. At the time of the visit, the attendance was not fully accurate within the snack room. Within the snack room the students were coming and going; As they arrived at the program they would "check in" with their group leader and then enter the snack room to eat. When done with snack they would then go back to their assigned group. The students were not in an assigned group within the snack room. The attendance being used within the snack room was a running tally system, but did not have the students names within the group. Daily attendance records indicating each child's attendance, including arrival and departure times and a method of knowing exactly who is present on the premises at any given point in the day must be maintained.
