Based on attendance records submitted, licensor observed the educator was out of her licensed ratios on July 16 2021 when she had 7 children present without a second educator present, none of the children were school aged and five of the children present were under 2 years old, which included 3 infants. Based on attendance records she was out of her licensed ratios for at least 5 minutes. The educator has been cited for being out of her ratios on at least two other prior visits. Daily attendance is being documented for the children to reflect arrival and departure times. It was observed that the educator’s assistant was signed in today, however was not present at time of visit. The educator stated the assistant had stepped out to run an errand but would be returning. The educator was within her ratios, even without her assistant, however It was reviewed with the educator that she must document her assistant’s attendance to reflect her in and out times, as there are times the assistant will leave and return to the program and this must be documented accordingly.
