General: Based on Review of Documentation, there were two (2) staff listed as substitutes. One (1) of the substitutes had a hire date of 1/16/16. The date of the signature of this staff person on the child abuse and neglect check was 2/17/16. The application for the results of a child abuse and neglect check is required to be submitted within five (5) days of hire. In addition this same staff person did not have the results of a criminal records check nor was there documentation available for review to verify that the application of the criminal records check had been submitted. A review of ECE-Tris records found that this staff person's information was not in the system and verification of the completion of orientation training could not be confirmed. This volunteer is in the classroom one (1) hour a day and the course syllabus for her class indicated that she must interact with the children. The staff in charge indicated that this volunteer does not ever work alone with the children.
