This staff left the center at 4:37pm. The surveyor observed the last child to leave the center at approximately 5:30pm. During interview with staff-in-charge, she stated that she and the other staff present were trained in first aid/CPR; however, they were not currently certified. She stated that they were on a list to attend an upcoming first aid/CPR certification class. Therefore, the childcare center failed to ensure that at least one (1) staff certified in first aid/CPR was present at all times with the children in attendance.

However, during interview, staff-in-charge stated she was unsure of the dates of hire for these staff and could not locate the personnel files for these staff on site for surveyor to review. While attempting to check the hot water temperature in the classroom's restroom, the surveyor discovered that no water came out of the faucet when the surveyor turned the knob for the hot water; therefore, the surveyor was unable to determine if the hot water temperature for the sink fell within the required minimum ninety (90) degrees Fahrenheit and maximum one hundred and twenty (120) degrees Fahrenheit. Staff-in-charge stated she thought the hot water heater was being worked on and the children could wash their hands in the sink that is located in the classroom. 2. The sink in the classroom's restroom was not equipped with a hand-drying blower. The surveyor did not observe single use disposable hand drying materials in the restroom.
