She reported that her child had hives on his face and his tongue was swollen by the time they arrived at the head start center. The parent stated that her child’s head start teacher told her that he could not stay and needed to see a doctor. The parent stated she called an ambulance and she and her child were transported to St. Elizabeth hospital located in Newport, Ky. She stated the doctor gave her child Benadryl and a steroid while at the hospital for an allergic reaction to strawberry milk.
