An interview with the staff person in the room found she does not do activities with the children in the morning and allows them to have free time and also play outside. She stated this is done until lunch, which is at 12:00 p.m. and then they nap from 12:30-2:30 p.m. She stated that the staff person who works in the afternoon conducts activities with the children. A planned program of activities was observed posted in the room and a daily schedule of activities was also posted. From 9:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m. the daily schedule had the words lesson/activity. From 10:20-10:40 a.m. the word activity was listed on the daily schedule. Therefore, the posted program of activities was not being implemented.
