General: Based on Observation, and review of documentation, the family child care home failed to maintain premises in accordance with regulatory sink requirements. Observation of the sink in the bathroom used for child care revealed hot water temperatures to the surveyors touch. Review of a temperature measuring device revealed the temperature of the hot water in the sink was one hundred forty-six (146) degrees Fahrenheit, which exceeded the maximum one hundred twenty (120) degrees Fahrenheit by twenty-six (26) degrees Fahrenheit. Observation of the temperature measuring device was also made by the provider who acknowledged deficient practice. Furthermore, observation of the sink was not immediately adjacent to the diaper changing area used for infants and toddlers.
