The provider was the sole caregiver of the children upon arrival to the family child care home at 11:46a.m. Continued observation of the family child care home revealed a staff member with the hire date 03/15/2022 entered the family child care at the same time as the DRCC representatives. The staff member with the hire date 03/15/2022 entered the programming 2 room with the six (6) children at approximant 11:52a.m. The staff member with the hire date 03/15/2022 had supervisory control of the children and was working alone with the children the remainder of the inspection. Upon request, the provider failed to present a completed background check from the National Background Check Program (NBCP) for the staff member with the hire date 03/15/2022 and for the provider with the hire date 02/08/2021. General: Based on interview and review of documentation, the child care provider failed to comply with the regulatory requirements specific to the current pandemic as established in 922 KAR 2:410E. The requirements established in section 9 (1), regarding opening training requirements on cleaning, states all child care staff, directors, owners and operators shall complete a new, mandatory training on cleaning, sanitizing, health procedures, and mandatory reporting prior to the date of reopening.
