During interview the director stated that the applesauce and water was only a morning snack and that the children did not receive cereal and milk on a daily basis. 267 - Snack Requirements 922 KAR 2:120 - Section 9 (6) A snack shall include two (2) of the following: (a) Milk; (b) Protein; (c) Bread; or (d)1. Fruit; 2. Vegetable; or 3. 100 percent juice. 4) Fruit/Vegetable/Juice ** Must select two from the list Not In Compliance Findings: Based on observation in the one-year-old classroom and the three-year-old classroom the children were only served applesauce and water which did not meet minimum standards. During interview the director acknowledged that the snack did not meet minimum standards. The director stated further that the facility had run out of milk on the day of the survey.
