Based on interview with the staff in charge, there were eight (8) children in care, and all of the children were 2 years old. Based on later observation of the children while outside on the playground, the surveyor observed only seven (7) children in care. Based on interview with the lone staff member supervising the children, she stated she had eight (8) children, however when she did a head count, she also counted seven (7) children. After approximately 1 -2 minutes the staff stated she had forgotten and one (1) child had been removed and placed in a different classroom, with the staff member expressing great relief from having remembered that the child had been removed.
