General: Based on observation, the surveyor witnessed a staff person remove four (4) school-age children from the Preschool Classroom and start to take the children into the School Age Classroom. When the surveyor questioned the staff person who would be supervising the children, the staff stated that the children would be in the classroom by themselves; however, the staff person took the school-age children back to the Preschool Classroom. During interview, the Director stated that when the Preschool Classroom gets over staff-to-child ratio, the staff will send four (4) of the school-age children into the School Age Classroom by themselves. The Director stated that they have been doing this type of arrangement since school let out for summer break. The director also stated that the Preschool Classroom staff would oversee both classrooms. The director stated that she believed it was okay, due to the Preschool Classroom staff being able to hear the school-age children. The surveyor sat in the School-Age Classroom and was not able to see into the Preschool Classroom and had trouble hearing the staff person in the Preschool Classroom; therefore, the children in the School Age Classroom have been out of score of vision and range of voice for an undetermined amount of time and on unknown dates.
