General: Based on observation and interview, the Preschool Classroom was out of ratio and group size for six (6) minutes with three (3) teachers and twenty-five (25) children in care present. The surveyor arrived at 9:40 am and all children in care, as well as all three (3) staff members were in the Preschool Classroom at the rear of the center. A staff member opened the door for the surveyor and they approached the Preschool Classroom together as the surveyor explained the reason for her visit. Upon entering the Preschool Classroom, the surveyor asked how many children in care were present and was told there were twenty-five (25) children ranging in age from three (3) to five (5) years old. The surveyor counted the children in the room to confirm that there were twenty-five (25) present and then told staff that she would begin her walkthrough of the classrooms. A staff member then told all four (4) and five (5) year old's to line up to go to the front room of the center. This group exited the Preschool Classroom at 9:46 am. The Preschool Classroom was over ratio and group size by one (1) child from 9:40 am to 9:46 am.
