The key was left in the laundry room door which made it accessible to children. Several cleaning agents and items labeled "keep out of reach of children" were being stored in the laundry room on low open shelving: toilet cleaner, carpet cleaner, floor cleaner, WD40, Raid bug spray, & Draino.
